What Titan goes over.
Designed first for metal roof restoration. Compatible with most common commercial roof substrates after appropriate prep.
Standing seam metal
Galvalume, galvanized steel, painted Kynar PVDF, aluminum. Most common Titan application. Wash + light surface prep typically sufficient.
R-panel & corrugated metal
Pole barns, ag buildings, light-commercial. Rust Defender spot-treatment on corroded fasteners and edges before base coat.
Modified bitumen (mod-bit)
SBS and APP modified bitumen. Surface must be sound, with no granule loss exceeding 10%. Adhesion primer recommended.
Built-up roof (BUR)
Asphalt and coal-tar BUR with intact cap sheet. Prep includes pressure wash and patch of any open laps before coating.
Single-ply (TPO, EPDM, PVC)
Restoration only. Membrane must be in serviceable condition. Adhesion testing recommended on PVC and aged EPDM.
Existing acrylic coatings
Most water-based acrylic recoats with Wash Defender prep. Solvent-based legacy coatings require adhesion testing.
